Pandora looks great. However I've used Laszlo in the past and for significantly sized application it is unmanagable to maintain.

Hey Marc, we're loving Laszlo and so are our listeners. Perfect solution for us; it just works. Would love to connect and hear what you think about Pandora -- drop me a note, tconrad-at-gmail-dot-com.

You are *so* plugged in. I went to visit Pandora due to your link and reference to their RIA front-end. Thought I'd check out the tech and stayed for the essence of Pandora: the music and the way it serendipitously slides in analogous tunes.

Did a post since I was so enamored: http://borsch.typepad.com/ctd/2005/09/pandora_your_pe.html

By the way, tons 'o people are referencing Scoble's 'recommendation' that this should be a thick client. I'm listening to Pandora while typing this at work on my Thinkpad. Last night I was typing my blog post in front of my Powermac with Cinema Display and great speaker system. Later last night was on my Linux powered laptop. The constant theme/interface? Firefox.

My challenge to anyone pitching thick clients is this question: when was the last time you headed over to Fry's, MicroCenter or CompUSA to browse the shrink-wrapped software aisles? The answer almost always is a humma, humma and a reluctant acknowledgment that "NOT FOR A LONG TIME" is their answer.
