Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I’ve been vocal in my displeasure at what one of the most respected, important people in our world has been doing with tags.

Dave Weinberger had been calling his tags - Technorati Tags - which is a blatant ad for our much beloved data mining service (which apparently about to be sold.)

So I was about to post yet another lambast about that, but thought I’d go and check and confirm that he was still doing that.

Well apparently - as of Aug. 5th - he’s not.

Now are we supposed to read something into this change of heart? Or is it that reality just kind of struck Dave and he realized “they ain’t paying me enough!”

Who knows.

But I cna tell yah - I sure am happy to see that situation go away. It really pained me to have ot point this out to Dave - so many times.
