Robert - you are NOT part of the problem - we love you
So I’m getting back to trolling through my aggregator and I ran across this Scobleizer post - where Robert admits that maybe it was better that he DIDN’T attend BlogHer.
I certainly understand where Robert is coming from - as he’s a pretty domineering force in the blogosphere today.
But I disagree that he’s part of the rpoblem. It’s not Robert - per se.
It’s the hub-bub, bullshit flack that surrounds Robert. Halley said it perfectly “I thought the blogosphere was supposed to get RID of this bullshit?”
Halley contunued: “why are we trying to play the game, we should be CHANGING the game?” “If not us - who?”
I totally agree.
Women are the largest majority minority that exists. Take women into account, with all the ’so-called’ minoritpes around the world - and you quickly see how sick and lob-sided a white male dominated world it is.
For things to change - we need conferences like BlogHer - around the world. BTW it was run as a (Winer-like) unconference. That rocked.
