$580M

‘nuf said.

Remember when News Corp tried to buy Pointcast for something like $400M and they TURNED THEM DOWN! That was one of the big blunders of Web 1.0 - remembered by all.

Well - we’re not gonna pass on any of THOSE offers again - now are we?

Stewert and Caterina certainly didn’t. But I doubt they got $580M from Yahoo.

Congrats to the MySpace nerds. It will be interesting to watch News Corp fuck it up - which they will - by definition.

    You think they want more money? Rumor has it that myspace is coming out with a better version of there site on another domain name starting march 1st it will be another social networking community site with alot more features. I guess to stay ahead of other sites coming out like my space also i heard it will be called http://www.FriendWise.com i guess well just have to see if friendwise happens.

    Looks like yahoo may spend alot more for the facebook or maybe even google will buy the social networking site and alot more than myspace.
