Cyworld - BBM team effort
At this very moment, as I sit in the Pacific Northwest woods - there is a crack team of experts working on bringing Cyworld (the leading Korean system) to the US.
The team is led by Rick Kim and Carl Wescott. The gals providing Cyworld expertise and liaison work include Ji-Young, Minji and Sohin.

Keep going guys - I’ll be back - soon!

Great to see technology from Korea is spreading to the US. Would be nice to see Cyworld in Germany at some point.
Good luck for the US!

[...] While my Korean friends in Berlin are taking Npool to the next level Cyworld from Korea is getting ready to launch in the U.S. . Marc Canter is working with the Korean Cyworld team to get Cyworld started over there. It will be exciting to see how Korean internet concepts can be transferred to Western countries. [...]

[...] I think global culture is different from korean’s, so it’s not sure to succeed this service. But, Marc Canter is working with the Korean Cyworld team to get Cyworld started over there. It will be exciting to see how Korean internet concepts can be transferred to Western countries. Cyworld has to face a market with a lot less broadband penetration in the US and compete with Myspace and Facebook too. Already Daum, the korean community based portal and owner of lycos.com launched Lycos Planet, same concept of Cyworld in last year. But, it’s not popluar yet. [...]

Hi all,
I know that Cyworld is currently in private beta mode. However, I implore you to release it back into public beta. There is no doubt an enormous interest. A quick google and you will find that many are seeking invitation to sign on, including me. With a large asian population in USA, the market and daily earnings from the virtual currency is certainly sizable. Please at least put it back to public beta and check the response.

I wonder what the society for the advancement of formal structures would make of this siteabout natural language parsing?

Cyworld has a lot of potential. I joined nettiez.com, which was similar to cyworld. Wasn’t by the same company? But that didn’t fly to well. ^^; Hopefully, this version will! I sure it will do better than the previous site at least. Why are many people jump to the conclusion that Cyworld will kill mySpace. They seem so different. :/
Oh can someone send me an invite? [insert begging] >.>
