Over 6k feeds behind, oh woe is me

Tuesday, May 31st, 2005

I’m falling more and more behind in my feed reading - breaking 6,000 unread posts for the first time.
I looked at my blog, and I haven’t posted for 5 days. All I can tell you folks is that means that we’re getting a TON of work done! We’re shooting for a SuperNova dmeo [...]

Mixing and matching on one’s public page

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

Though the stylesheet is still rather conservative, and the range of external modules still limited; take a look at my public page on Tribe.net (below.) Imagine this was your “About Me” page.
Notice that we’re meshing in de.licio.us and RSS feeds, giving our end-users the ability to put up more than one ‘desktop image’ up [...]

Best new usage of this container technology wins $1,500. And the contestants themselves will vote on who’s got the shit. The [...]

XBox dashboard

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

Take a look at this. What do you see? A personal page, dashboard on an XBox! This is only possible now that the XBox 360 is designed for on-line interaction and digital identity.

I wonder if they have xHTML pages and embed their profile info into the pages? Where’s the XFN? [...]

I forgot to tell yah about last week’s dinner

Monday, May 23rd, 2005

So I got a bunch of people to go to Keens the other night - after Syndicate. It’s quite a place.
Forget the triple cut lamp chops or mutton chops. Forget the fact that Lili Langtry got the place to go Co-ed - back in 1899 or so.
By far the coolest thing about [...]

MyGoogle launches

Sunday, May 22nd, 2005

And so it finally begins. The Portal Wars 2.0.
I hate to take credit for coining the phrase, but it’s been so obvious - for years - that this was going to happen that I didn’t even mark down when I first used the phrase. That 2004 link refers to a reference I made in [...]

mRSS

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

I’m here in NYC for teh Syndicate conference.
Brad Horowitz officially announced Yahoo’s Media RSS (mRSS) format today - and ourmedia.org was part of the announcement - announcing our enthusiastic support.
mRSS solves the problem I’ve been bitching about - since podcasting started. It attached basic meta-data info onto a media enclosure - thereby enabling an [...]

Blogs, Wkis and Social Software

Sunday, May 15th, 2005

Some friends asked me why we weren’t mentioned in this article in CNet. I guess I have to go schmooze up the writer - Josuhua Jaffe.
But I wonder - why Joshua didn’t mention 1Up, Tribe or aSmallWorld or Yahoo 360? He also didn’t mention LinkedIn, MySpace or hi5. I guess there’s allot [...]
