i mentioned many times that i wished you were there.

it actually was a good event. though, it was more a 'state of the industry' rather than a 'let's bang our heads together and build some more stuff'. nonetheless, something like this was ugently needed here in the old world.

and i would say that everyone there was from the top-level service area, no one from the plumbing and construction level - such as you or dave w - y'know, the kinds of folks working on identity, rss, atom, metadata, etc. the folks at this event were the ones who say (or don't say?) 'thanks for this tool, now let me run with it'.

my suggestion to loïc is that we run this again in about 18 months and actually come out with something concrete, something we can say is an outcome, rather than just sharing info. also, my suggestion is that we get more builders out here, since the builders need to have a conversation with the service folks and vice versa.
