Neil and Zack transcend Drupal and create Events for the rest of us
Now I’m just guessing here - but if CivicSpaces Event APIs are available to the Drupal community, then we’ve got ourselves a ballgame ladies and gentlemen.
Just as I was talking about how the events space is heating up - then MeetUp goes and decides to charge and CivicSpace comes out swinging like champs (without the clear.)
It’s taken me days to figure this out - but the new CivicSpace site not only transcends the theme limitations so often plauging Drupal sites - but they’ve also figured how to do an open source MeetUp - tied into Drupal core.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudes.
BTW Smartest thing Zack did - besides hook up with Neil, hang out with Dean and go back and unfork from Drupal - was strip out that shitty ass Drupal UI and start over from scratch.
BTW Peter Caputa calls it Web 2.0 for Events…..
