Great Yank Sing review
I raised my first family at Yank Sing.
Now I’m training my girls to eat with chopsticks there. Mimi loves the ’shrimp balls’. Jacob always loved ‘hiding shrimp’ and Aryeh loved the foil wrap chicken.

So when the SFGate ran this wonderful article - I knew it was time to come out of blogging hibernation.
It was a major tragedy in our lives when they shut down the place on Battery but since they knew that was coming years in advance, they had already set up alternative locations in the Rincon Center and on Stevenson Alley (where I see John Markoff is a regular.)
So congrats to Yank Sing - easily the best dim sum place on the planet earth. I have traveled to London, Hong Kong, all over the place - but NONE of them are as good as Yank Sing.
Kevin Burton used to throw ‘hacker brunches’ there - too.

How long has it been since you’ve visited Ton Kiang (23rd & Geary)? I think they’ve passed Yank Sing over the past few years, especially when measured by the overall quality of the menu you choose… too many times at Yank Sing, one clinker dumpling throws off the whole meal. Give them a shot next time you visit from the far east bay!

Yes, Yank Sing is very good. I miss being able to sneak out the loading dock, walk across Stevenson Alley and sit down to great dim sum, as we could we we had offices at 525 Market.

All is so good, that I’d like to find out any mistake or discrepancy, but I have not found. Take my words; it is not insulting for me. I am really very glad for you!
