CNet aggregator
Steve Rubel apparently scooped everyone on the CNet aggregator story.
But Ross Mayfield has something curious to say - which I’d like to disagree with:
Branded aggregators make as much sense as private labeled browsers.
Dude - watch Rojo show you how to build an entire business model around private labeling aggregators. Watch aggregators from Yahoo, Microsoft and even Sony - turn aggregation into a standard feature - much like printing or mobile access.
Aggregation, along with integration and customization is at the core of “digital lifestyle aggregation” (DLA). So needless to say I’m heavily in favor of aggregation.
And private labeling aggregators.
So congrats to CNet - though I don’t know why peeps aren’t mentioning that Yahoo is already doing this. No big whif.
