You want lo-brow, we got lo-brow
So apprently some people have complained about my suggestion for Lulu’s on Thursday. It’s good enough for Joi ito - but NO. We gotta go lo-brow.
As long as Jonas and Tantek show up - I’ll go anywhere. There’s a Mickey D’s at 3rd & Townsend. That’s where Clint Eastwood stood (during Dirty Harry) and said “Go ahead, make my day.” But then the Burger Island got bought out, moved across the street and they built a Mickey D’s there in it’s place.
Is that close enough to Technorati?
The suggestions (I left on Robert’s site) were super cheap, funky, unique and ulitmately San Francisco-like:
- Playa Azul on Mission at 26th-ish. Great Mexican seafood. Mariachi’s. Old ladies selling roses.
- Pakwan (Indian) on 16th, Hipster place, Jason can get a drink within 10 feet - Punker or Biker - take his pick.
- Vietnamese place on Harrison & 18th. Totally remote, new menu, super cheap.
- Brunos on Mission at 19-20. It’s up, it’s down, I can’t remember where it is now. Live Jazz, big red leather booths. Power schmoozing.
I don’t know this Chaat whatever place - but as long as it’s close to Technorati, that’s fine with me.
Now I wonder if they’ll be complaints if we talk about upper case semantic web rdf things - or will we be chastised for not going lower case.
