OOOpps - I hate it when the only thing we got going - leaves…
All sorts of reports on Juha Christenseen leaving Macromedia.
My own feelings below…..
: Juha Christensen, who was leading Macromedia’s big push into mobile content, is leaving the company, WW reports…apparently the boom in the space is too much for him to resist and he wants to start his own thing…can’t blame him, really…
Whatever said and done, this has to be a big blow to Macromedia’s ambitions in the mobile platform space…everyone in the content business I spoke to about Macromedia’s mobile ambitions always said it in as many words: we love Juha.
Macromedia COO Stephen Elop plans to continue to carry Macromedia’s mobile torch.
and here’s what Om Malik wrote……
Mobitopia: Macromedia announced that Juha Christensen is leaving after only 11 months at the helm of their mobile division. In case you don’t know, Juha was a co-founder of Symbian, then went to Microsoft, the moved on to Macromedia last year, and now it seems is looking to start another mobile company. (via Russell Beattie)
I never met Juha in perosn, though I heard him speak and read interviews of him. It doesn’t surpirse me that he’s left - all good people leave Macromedia.
I mean it. This is as bad as BEA or CA. Macromedia is an oxymoron - they’re cruising on our strategy from the late 80’s - and they still haven’t figured out what to do next.
It’s sad and pathetic.
