The landslide of celebrity hirings into legitimate day jobs continues.

This time it’s the legendary Derek Powazek going to Technorati. It’s almost as if SixApart and Technorati are having a contest “how many old school bloggers can we get into legitimate jobs?”
In other words the gravy train has turned into a entire vat of gravy.
But something tells me Derek getting a job had something to do with getting married as mcuh as anything else.
I just wish with all these celeb programmers, thinkers and designers around - that BOTH Technorati a d SixApart - wouild start kicking out new features and functionality - like support for open standards - beyond just RSS.
I mean who invented the ‘micro-content’ term anyway?
Who’s Mr. Open Standards - afterall?
And best of all - who’s “the digital story teller?”
Get all these nerds together in one room - and we might even get some new functionality - someday.
So congrats to Derek, Sifry and the gang at Technorati. Anmd Heather - too.
