The Physics of Ideas
Nova Spivack has posted a manifesto on ‘measuring the physical properties of memes’. It orighinally appeared on his blog ‘Minding the Planet’.
Since I’m a meme merchant, I’ve very interested in his notions of ‘treating ideas as ideal particles in a Newtonian Universe’ and in developing a ‘method that relates the size of a meme to the way it moves in time and space’.
Totally coolio shit.
Nova just moved out here from NYC - to be close to SRI and various ‘techy types’. He calls himself an semantic ontologist.
