The demand for integration and an architectual approach

Phil Becker is keynoting the DIDW (Digital ID World) conference here in Denver. The high altitude sickness isn’t as bad as last year - but it’s still prevalent.

Doc is going to keybote on the final day and I’m on a panel with Dick Hardt (Sxip), Simon Grice (Midentity), Kim Cameron (Microsoft) and Doc today.

I got to meet Craig Burton for the first time - last night. He’s one of my heros. He helped Novell figure out directories and coined the phrase meta-directory in the early 90’s.

I’m DEFINITELY gonna get him involved in some of our open source infrastructure efforts.

Meanwhile this place is filled with suits.

I’m getting kind of nervous. Especially since this is Bush country.

Hopefully folks realize the Digital Identity needs a context. Most everyone here is focused on the context of identity within the firewall - but I’m into humans and how we can use digital identity to glue together our digital lifestyles.
