On my own - HAH!
My message to Stowe Boyd and anybody else who doesn’t like the idea of bloggers getting paid to blog.
Grow up. Or even better yet - go get an academic position where the value of ideas and learning is greater than putting food on your table.
Stowe even has the gall to say:
- that I’m on my own = Then I say “dude - wait til you see” is all I’m gonna say
- that I’m on my own = Then I say “gee maybe somebody else is paying Stowe for something, ’cause last I heard - food and rent cost money - honey”
- that I’m on my own = Then I say “please everyone who likes this idea - bombard Stowe”
Notice how Stowe uses the term ‘heresy’. Yup - that’s right - I’m against organized religion, organized witch hunting and most of all - idealistic fools who think that blogging is anything more than just one form of personal publishing.
If you’re so condesending to think that bloggers aren’t grown up, that there readers will immediately assume them to be whores and that everything they write is paid for prostitution - than please don’t read it.
It’s as simple as that.
Do any of us think the Republicans aren’t going to steal the election?
Do any of think that the war will end tomorrow?
Do any of us think tha the sky is falling in?
Then why be so pretentous and high fallooting?
I have complete confidence in any blogger who accepts money to blog - will keep their morals AND feed their children.
And if you don’t like it - don’t read the posts. It’s that simple.
But please don’t tell me what’s right ot wrong and what’s blogging. ‘Cause that’s bullshit.
